Longing for the Truth

To the tune of "Take Me Home, Country Roads"

Molding opinion, information thicket,
Sold-out journalists, bought historians,
Can't see the forest through their trees,
With their tons of hot air belching out a breeze.

How we long for the truth!
It's the thing that we most need.
Propagandists work against it.
They're the foes of the truth.

The two big wars of the twentieth century
And all of Israel's founding myths:
The superstructure of our ship of state
Has started tipping from the weight.

How we long for the truth!
It's the thing that we most need.
Propagandists work against it.
They're the foes of the truth.

Our chosen leaders don't work for us.
They're run by a country far away.
Working with their ethnic brethren,
They make sure our pols are safely in their pay.

How we long for the truth!
It's the thing that we most need.
Propagandists work against it.
They're the foes of the truth.

How we long for the truth!
It's the thing that we most need.
Propagandists work against it.
They're the foes of the truth.

Propagandists work against it.
They're the foes of the truth.

Propagandists work against it.
They're the foes of the truth.
